Hi , welcome to another edition of My IBiz Weekly. I am sorry for
everyone who received another welcome message from me. I have
switched the list to Aweber,and just learning the ropes with this
new list host.
But I'll tell you. I love it so far. I think that since I can now
send my issues out ahead of time is perfect for sending out all
my solo's ahead of time, and now if I have to go on vacation (
vacation, meaning visiting relatives) then I can do that without
worrying about getting my issues out on time.
I was happy with Rapid Reply and I recommend it to anyone, but I
just needed more features. With 3500 subscribers and growing
daily, play time is over.
Today's issue is the final part in our Starting an Ezine series.
While this is the last in the series, we are far from finished
with learning how to profit and succeed online through your
ezine. Just wait and see in the upcoming weeks how you can learn
the various aspects of ezine.
The other feature article has to do with a growing problem
online. Not knowing how to succeed has always been a big issue
online. But whether you realize it or not, you are starting off
on the wrong foot. Read "Stop Renting Your Profits" and you'll
see what I mean.

We did receive one response from James Hinck
"Hi Donesia,
Jim Hinck here. As far as helping Irene, she can try clicking on
the right mouse click. This always comes up with a delete option.
Click on delete and send it to the recycle bin. This is how I
delete all my programs I don't need anymore.
I hope this is helpful."
My Response:
Now I am not sure if Get Right has any spy ware installed into
the program but I suggest that you download a free copy of
Ad-Aware from Lava Soft to make sure that there is no spy ware
left on your computer

You may also have to manually remove each folder although if you
are not if any of the files are still used by other programs,
then wait until you are sure.
Quick Tip: Learn From My Mistakes:
If you have a lot of .dll files that you are not sure if you need
them, just leave them there. Your computer may still use them,
and by the time you boot up your computer again, your favorite
program may not work, and I hope you still have the original CD.
If you are missing .dll files, here is a site I found that may
help restore some of your programs that have gone haywire.
.DLL files, dynamic link library files are one of the key
components of any software, and if accidentally deleted, your
software will not work correctly. You can find some .dll files
and other file types at http://www.easy-files.com/
QUESTION FOR NEXT WEEK:
Now I have a question?
Does anyone who uses Microsoft Outlook 2000 or Outlook Express
know how to back up emails into another file format. Not the .pst
format but maybe a simple text file, without having to copy
everything manually?
Is there some hopefully free software that does this, or a
simpler way?

STARTING AN EZINE (CONCLUSION): CAUSE AND EFFECT

Well by now after reading parts one two, and three, you should be
more than ready to start your own ezine. Of course you will still
have doubts, but don't worry. It gets easier once you get that
first issue out.
So far you have learned how to:
>>The purpose of your ezine and what type of ezine suited for
you.
>>What types of content to include, and where to find content to
make your ezine informative and interactive.
>>How to properly format and design your text ezine.
>>The pro's and con's of using an HTML ezine
>>Software to help you create your ezine
>>The various places to host your list, free and paid.
>>Various types of software to help you send out your list
A few years ago, if someone checked out your website, they
wouldn't expect to see a signup form on your site to sign up for
your ezine.
Now it is a given.....
Let's be honest, an individual can surf to thousands of sites
weekly, going from site to site. Now do you really expect that
person to bookmark every site they like and remember to go back
to that site for future references? No, that' s why when you send
them your ezine, they will say " Oh yeah, I remember this site.
Let me see what they have to offer"
Trust me most of the time, if I did not receive an email from
some sites, I would never remember to visit that site.
Does that mean it is a bad site. No not at all.
It means that we all have short attention spans, and if you want
to rely on people's memory instead of promoting with an ezine,
you are missing out on potential profits.
Here are some quick tips to get you through the Newbie Publisher
status:
1. Handle unsubscribe requests as quickly as possible. If there
is a problem with your software or server, then let them know
they may receive duplicates.
2. Keep copies of everything. Each issue, each subscribe and
unsubscribe request, each ad. You never know when someone may
need an archived issue, or wants to challenge you with one of
those " I didn't subscribe to your list" complaints.
3. You are the publisher, and editor. You have the final word on
what content should be in each issue. Never let anyone tell you
your job.
4. Just because you have an ezine does not mean you deserve to be
cursed out or spoken to in any way, shape or form. Take it with a
grain of salt, but never let anyone treat you that way. Be firm.
Be professional, and don't stoop to their level.
5. Always maintain good communication with your readers. Loyalty
online is very far and few between, so remember that and you will
do fine.
6. Never ever sell or rent your list to other third party
marketers without the prior consent of your readers. There is
nothing worse than to be known as a spammer.
7. You don't have to have the "All Time Greatest Ezine In The
World Where Every Piece Of Good Information Found Online Can Be
Found In Your Ezine". Just stick to your niche and not only will
you keep yourself from going crazy, other people will thank you
for it such as your children, spouse, outside employment.
8. Who said that each issue has to be perfect? Who said you must
have an answer for every question someone asks you? Who said
after sending out a certain amount of issues, you then realize
your real focus and niche and completely change around your
publication. Who says you can't do that?
9. Never ever substitute Quality for Quantity. What may work for
some may not work for you. You have your own mind so use it. Be
unique. People will remember you that way..
10. Once you stop loving it, it's all over. Hang it up and throw
away the key. Maintain your thrill of publishing or not only will
you suffer, but so will your site, your sales, and your reader
loyalty.
One last thing.. Life is too short to compromise your morals for
the almighty buck. Remember it is your name they remember, not
the ad.
I hope that you have learned a thing or two from this series.
Even seasoned publishers can learn from this series.
There is a lot more to learn, as each issue is sent out. Learning
to deal with subscribers good and bad. Accepting paid
advertisements for your ezine, handling joint ventures with your
ezine, etc. etc.
Of course My IBiz Weekly will show you all of these aspects of
ezine marketing and publishing.
You can't call yourself a Newbie forever.

Renting Your Profits, What Does That Mean?
For all of you who are making money from affiliate programs and
other money making programs, congratulations. Affiliate programs
and other money making programs can help you supplement your
income online. I should know. Not only am I a member of various
affiliate programs, but I also run my own affiliate program as
well. So don't think this is an anti-affiliate program article.
Notice, I Said Supplement Your Income.
Now what are you going to do the day you get that email that says
"Thank you for your participation in our affiliate program, but
we have decided to discontinue this product, and effective
immediately you can no longer spend all your time promoting my
product. Have a nice day"
So what are you going to do. You have spent all your time
promoting this product. Your entire ezine is focused on this
product.
Now what are you going to talk about? Now where are your profits
going to come from?
Remember a long time ago, every successful marketer told you one
thing
If you want to succeed online, you need to have your own product
or service that you own outright 100% or you will never achieve
marketing success.

Let me say this again..
THIS IS THE FIRST, MOST IMPORTANT STEP TOWARDS ONLINE MARKETING
SUCCESS.
I am not referring to products that you have the rights to resell
and reprint. This a great money maker as I have ebooks that I
resell myself, but you know what. That's not my main source of
income.
Why?
I didn't write this ebook. If the author sets a certain criteria
for their material, you have no choice but to comply since it is
not your material in the first place.
The benefits of owning your own product or service online are
endless. You make the rules. you collect all the profits, end of
story..
When I first started out, I heard that same line, and said to
myself " I can't invent software or develop some sort of service,
I'll just rely on these affiliate programs."
Didn't even care what the product was, just as long as it had a
high commission, you can be sure I signed up for it.
REALITY CHECK
Everyone else was promoting the same thing. By the time I got
around to promoting it, no one cared, and I was lucky to see $10!
I had to use their material to promote, had to stick to their
guidelines. Even if I was successful, it dawned on me that I am
helping to promote someone else's products and services.
So I thought about what I can do to carve a niche in this world
of marketing. If I can't think of a product to come up with, what
about a service? That's why I came up with Ezine Ad Helper.com
You see my original website My IBiz Helper is great but I didn't
have anything unique to offer my visitors, so I came up with
Ezine Ad Helper.
It is not a reseller of another ad coop, or anything else like
that.
Ezine Ad Helper is owned by KDM Publishing, which is owned by me.
So while my service oriented business is far from being a new
concept, it is mine, and that is what you focus on.
HOW CAN I COME UP WITH AN IDEA FOR MY OWN PRODUCT OR SERVICE?
Okay once I realized that I was not going to put Bill Gates out
of business, I thought realistically about what I wanted to do.
Take stock of your skills, abilities, all of your previous jobs,
and the skills that you have learned online before. If you have
had any previous sales experience, then half the battle is won.
There are various products and services that you can do to appeal
to the online community. It is not as hard as you think.
Now in terms of making millions, well that's another story. Like
any real business, you will be lucky to see your first profit
anytime soon, but remember nothing comes handed to you.
Web Design, Desktop Publishing, Script Installation, Web Hosting,
Writing Sales Copy, Graphic Design, Resume Creation, Virtual
Assistants, get the idea..
SO ARE YOU SAYING THAT AFFILIATE PROGRAMS DON'T WORK?
Please don't get me wrong. If I thought affiliate programs didn't
work I wouldn't have one for my own site. Here is what I figured
out:
If you have your own product or service, then select only a few
key affiliate programs that will compliment your main product or
service.
Stop signing up for everything just because it offers a high
commission. Look for solid products to enhance what you are
already offering. After all, I don't expect to see an ad for
tobacco at a children's website so think before you sign up..
If you cannot take this first simple step of owning your own
product or service outright, then you are already placing strikes
against you in your path to Internet Marketing Success..
So now you can ask yourself after reading this...
