Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of MIBW.
Well it's Friday. Okay today's issue is going out in
text only. Monday, I will have a link to an online
version and I will send the text version to your inbox
from now on. Looks like based on your votes, plus I
used a free spam check tool to see how if my ezine was
going past the filters and I was shocked at how bad it
failed :) I will let you know about that link below. I
will give you the results from my test on Monday.
Today
is our classified edition. Plus I have finally Part 8
of Kevin Bidwell's' Traffic building issue. The
remaining parts will be seen next week as well plus I
am going to put the whole series plus my ezine creation
series in an autoresponder soon so you can always use
it for future reference. I am involved in setting up
two new sites next year.
One which I hope will be ready
by the end of the month is myibizweekly.com I have had
the domain for almost a year now because I didn't want
someone else to use it and then there would be a
copyright issue involved with my ezine, so I grabbed
it. Now with all these crazy filters, I can just always
post the html issues there and still send the text
versions. Probably post the link to grab the text
version.
We'll see with these new filters, who knows
what the new year will bring.. Except more money for me
because filters are not going to stop my money. Don't
forget about the new ad specials for a very limited

New Sp^m Filter Check Tool For Ezine Publishers

I have a new and very helpful tool for you. For those
of you who are 5 Pillar affiliates, you know what I am
talking about. This new feature allows you to run your
ezine copy to their autoresponder and get an instant
results test that will show you whether your ezine will
make it past the filters. It will give you a score and
break down what needs to be changed. Read the
description below, and try it out.
The results from
today's issue as well as a previous html issue will be
posted on Monday so you can see just how picky those
filters are. The SITESELL SPAMCHECK Tool is a quick way
for honest marketers to make sure that their e-mails
are less likely to be considered spam by ISPs, by
Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail (which tosses you into their
Junk folders) and even by individual filters set up by

Here's how it works...
STEP 1: Copy-and-paste your
subject, but start your subject with the word
"TEST" (without the quotes, in UPPER CASE) so
that we know this is a test e-mail. (If the subject
does NOT start with TEST, we'll assume it's REAL spam

STEP 2:
Copy-and-paste the rest of your e-zine and simply send
it, exactly the way you would send it to your
recipient, to... mailto:spamcheck-mibw@sitesell.net
You'll get a report back (in seconds, perhaps a few
minutes if volume is heavy) telling you how good or bad
your e-mail is, from a spam-detector's point of view.
You will receive a full, free report of all corrections
that you should make to your zine, in order to stay out
of the junk folders.
It does NOT, of course, actually
comment on WHAT you write -- first, it's not that
smart. And second, the actual content is YOUR business!

CREATING WEBSITE TRAFFIC--PART VIII Using Viral Sites

There
are all sorts of ways to promote a site. If your site
is one getting good search engine positioning with
relevant keywords, then optimizing for search engines
is a great way to get traffic. But what if your site
has a great product, but the search engines are so
saturated you have no real hope of getting the free
exposure search engines provide?
Enter the viral site.
Almost everyone has been to a joke of the day, funny
picture of the day or even (heaven forbid) the bikini
of the day site. These sites get natural traffic with
very little effort.
Even without search engine
positioning, a small number of visitors can generate a
large number of page views since the same people may
visit a number of pages and may visit again and again
rather than just once. How does that help you?
Easy--each one of those visitors can generate free
banner impressions and pop-behinds for your site,
giving you tons of exposure at absolutely no cost to
you.
This is how it works: You have a
"companion" site that either scores very well
with high traffic keywords, or that has a high
"viral" value--people want to visit it again
and again and tell their friends. On that site you have
a number of banners and at least one pop-behind
(pop-under). Those banners either advertise your
"sales" site OR they serve as
"exchange" banners and give you credits at a
service like Banners Go MLM or Exit Exchange.
As a
result you end up with free advertising for your sales
site which results in more visitors for you. Ideally,
each visitor who comes to the site will visit several
pages and generate many banner impressions and pop-
behinds for your "sales" site.
