Hi, {!name_fix} welcome to another edition
of My IBiz Weekly.
In the next few weeks or so I want to focus on those who
are out of the rat race.
Who are those?
These are the people who have online businesses, and yes
they want to succeed, but they are not running ragged with getting
signups, looking for spillovers, downlines. They don't care about having
huge lists, the latest bells and whistles on their sites. The most
important script on their site is their shopping cart, and their contact
page.
I am talking about those who sell physical goods or
services. Maybe you sell dolls, or you are a web designer, or you sell
clothes online. Yes, they have competitive markets. Yes, they still have
to learn how to market online, and market through email. But it is about
doing the job correctly, not just getting your name out there.
I have fully realized that I am not the fast paced
marketer I thought I was. Well, I could be, but I don't want to.
I don't want to be stuck to the pc all day, or stuck to a laptop.
Yes the first few years while building your online business, no
matter what you are selling, requires more time than ever.
But you still don't have to work yourself into an early
grave.
I see that a lot of us while working with our computers
end up with vision problems, back problems, carpal tunnel syndrome, and
weight gain.
Now I already wear glasses, I don't need my eyes to get
worse!
We tend to forget our basic needs when we are online,
especially our eating habits.
So eventually I am going to introduce helpful tips for our
health.
Sorry this is not going to be one of those ezines with the
latest downlines for you or the latest scheme to make money. I just can't
do that anymore.
I you want to succeed, either show your real personality
or get out. Plain and Simple. So sometimes you may see some jokes as in
today's issue and sometimes you may see a healthy recipe for you or maybe
a safety tip.
Of course like with the articles in today's issue, I will
still let you know of any helpful tip. Because no matter what as long as
we are online, we still need to learn how:
> To build a great website, design, graphics, etc.
> To start and maintain a newsletter. Whether you have 50 or 50,000
subscribers, it is still one of the best ways to market YOU.
> How to actually get people to your site, and how to get them to
buy what you are selling.
> How to market and promote to your target audience. Believe it or not,
marketing and promotion are two completely different methods.
With all the spam filters out there, a lot of emails
bounce and while I could have kept all those bounces on my list and lie to
my paid advertisers, my morals would kick in, so I am very glad when after
each mailing, I only receive 20-25 bounces out of 3700 subscribers. Over
the summer I removed hundreds of bounces.
I am not as worried anymore to have a huge list. When the
time and the money is right I would probably purchase subscribers, but I
am in no rush.
I just gotta be me..:)
So please read the articles in today's issue. Kevin
Bidwell has a ten part series on how to build up traffic for your site.
This is a great series. Kevin is also one of the publishers in my
classified coop, and I appreciate his wisdom as I do all my publishers.
There is also an article from one of our readers, Lisa

Hi Donesia,
Let me give you my opinion first. Though I'm sure you already know it.
I love MLM. or network marketing, which ever you prefer.
But I'm glad to hear that you have dropped your programs.
There is nothing wrong with them. But as Kevin said in his great article
Only certain people will do well with them.
If you and your members are only paying $25 a month, that takes a lot of
members, and a ton of work. Unless of course you get someone with a
big list to sign up underneath you. Possible, but not likely.
If you're in no rush, and the company lasts, most anyone *could* make
them work. Truth is, most people won't.
I'll try to keep this short, but for the successful networkers I know, MLM
*is* their business. Not just a side order of fries. They spend a lot of
money
and / or a lot of time.
I know you well enough to know that you do not have enough time to
work those types of programs. Not and run your co-op business.
There are two affiliate programs I've done well with, that I'll share. One
is Host4Profit. A needed service. I've made it profitable with an ezine
and preselling it on a web page.
The other affiliate program I have had good luck with in the past is
Terry Dean's Internet Income Cashflow System

I don't promote affiliate programs much anymore. Not my niche, tired of

I used payperclick search engines, and a mini website offering a free report

and sell to it. Automated.

A Complete Traffic Building Plan:
Part I Starting A Newsletter

[The following is the first in a series of 10 articles on
building traffic to your site. If you will follow the
guidelines in these 10 articles, you will see your traffic
grow to hundreds if not thousands each day.]
FIRST, AN INTRODUCTION:
On a regular basis I get emails from people who say
something like this: "I have been trying to make a living
on the web for the last two years and I haven't made a dime.
All I have to show for it is a mountain of debt."
That's a tragedy.
If you are willing to put in 5-10 hours per week for a year,
I can show you how to be making a full-time income on the
web. [I am NOT going to be able to give you all the details
in this newsletter, if you want the whole thing, take my
course.]
The reason that most people can't make a living on the web
is that they have listened to the people who make it their
business to take money rather than help them. As a result
they are sitting there two years later, poorer and a little
more jaded.
That's why I am writing this series of articles. If you
will do what it tells you in this 10 article series, you
will have hundreds of hits to your website each day--and if
you have put together a good site--you will have the sales
and income that go along with that traffic.

So, let's start with Key I:
HOW TO START A NEWSLETTER THAT MAKES YOU MONEY
We track everything we can here at All-In-One-Business.com.
Everything. I can tell you how many people receive our
newsletter. I can tell you how many people open it up and
look at it. I can tell you how many people read each one of
our articles. I can tell you how many of the people who
read our articles buy one of our products. After tracking
all of these statistics, here is what I can tell you:
A good newsletter will make you between $ .10 and $ .20 in
sales for every subscriber each month.
Did you catch that?
That means that for every 1000 subscribers to your, you will
make $100.
Now, what if I told you that getting 15,000 subscribers
over the next year is not only a reasonable goal, it is
almost effortless? That means that, just from your little
newsletter, you can be making $1500 per month in less than a
year!
But you have to do it right. Here's how you can start a
newsletter that will make you money:
1. Target it to a specific audience.
Before you go out and build yourself a newsletter, make sure
you know who you are going to send it to. Make sure that it
hits your target market.
2. Send it every week.
This is a tough one for some people--especially those who
are doing their own writing. Since all of my articles are
designed to be placed in an upcoming product we will sell,
I can afford to do a lot of writing. Not everyone can. If
a weekly is too tough for you, start twice per month.
3. "Brand" Yourself and Your Site.
Remember that the purpose of your newsletter is TO ESTABLISH
YOURSELF AS AN EXPERT. Write as many articles as you can
yourself. Give your opinions. Don't tell people lies to
try and get them to buy an inferior product. Even if you
don't write an article, take an authoritative position in
the introduction. Here is an example:
"Joe Blow put out this article last week, and I think you
will really benefit from it. While I don't agree with
everything in the article, it is really pretty good so I
decided to print it here."
What this does--even on articles you don't write--is put
yourself in the "expert" position. Again, building you
and your site's "brand" recognition.
As a part of branding, don't necessarily share every
struggle you have with your readers. I don't care how
successful you are, there are days when you just want to
pitch it all and get a "real" job. If you are constantly
sharing those kinds of things with your subscribers they
will not see you as the expert you really are.
4. Do NOT send solo ads.
Now, if your goal is to simply make money publishing and not
selling your own products, skip this part. There are people
out there who are making good money selling solo ads. BUT
for people who wish to sell their own products, solo ads can
hurt your subscriber base.
5. Send out no more than TWO personal endorsements per
month.
While some people would call this a solo, I look at it
differently. Once, or at the most twice, per month, you
send an offer to your subscriber base. Make it like a
personal letter from you, not like an ad. Short is good.
6. Put a sign-up blank, with an incentive, on each page
of your site.

7. Put a Pop-Up window for subscribing on your main page.
OK, we all hate pop-ups. The reason they are used is that
THEY WORK. Again, take a look at my site:

8. Use free ad subscriber services.
There are number of free subscriber services that will send
you new subscribers in return for each subscriber receiving
a free classified ad. [One of the services that I furnish
for the students in my course is where to get these free
subscribers.] We get about 100 new subscribers each day
just from these free services.
9. Start out with a TEXT newsletter.
You will notice that we use an HTML newsletter. There is a
reason for that--but we still debate regularly going back to
text. The most comprehensive numbers demonstrate that text
sells better than HTML in most cases.
10. Put ads between and INSIDE articles.
Between each article put a short, 6-line ad targeted to your
readers. In addition, in the middle of articles, put a
short "Word from our Sponsor".
11. Set it up on an autoresponder.
Once you get a few hundred subscribers, you will not want to
spend your time doing subscribes and unsubscribes. I use a
very reasonably priced service to do this for me. You can

12. Submit Your Articles to Other People's Ezines.
As your name gets better and better known, you will find
that more and more of your articles will get picked up and
printed. Put together a good BIO box (see mine below). It
works well as FREE ADVERTISING for you and your site.
13. Don't Be Discouraged.
When you are starting out, you will be putting your eZine
together for just a few people--maybe even less than 100.
You will NOT see a ton of sales from those small numbers.
Put it out anyway. You will make your mistakes to a smaller
number of people, and some of those people will stay with
you for the long haul. Treat every subscriber like royalty
and it will pay off in the long run.

Business Email Etiquette 101-Yes It Does Make A Difference

If you do any type of business online you MUST realize the importance
of email etiquette. When you press that send button, there's no
turning back, you've just sent out your email salesperson. Who would
you like to represent you and your business? A well dressed,
personable, well spoken salesperson or someone in sloppy clothing,
slewing slang, and spewing double negatives and run-on sentences like
rain?
The impression your email message gives your customer holds in it's
hands the life or death of your sale. It will determine whether you
acquire a customer or a disinterested passerby who'll delete your
email without a second thought.
With that said, let's look at 5 easy ways you can be sure your email
salesperson is well dressed and ready to impress.
1. Get to the point.
Don't drag out your message. A long email can be very discouraging to
read. It also has a greater chance of the customer just skimming
through it or deleting it all together.
2. If you are replying to a customer, answer all questions asked.
If you don't answer all of the customer's questions in the original
email, rest assured you'll most likely receive more emails regarding
the questions you left unanswered! This wastes your time and the
customers time. Also it could frustrate your customer and you may
possibly lose them.
3. Try to anticipate questions in advance.
Offer a little more when replying to your customer's questions. If a
customer asks if you accept credit cards and which cards you accept.
In reply answer both questions and add how they may order from you.
Your thoughtfulness and customer care will be appreciated.
4. Use correct spelling, punctuation and grammar.
This is definitely a biggie. What's worst than trying to acquire a
customer through an email full of typos, bad grammar and even worst
punctuation? Your email message will go straight to the trash bin.
Bad punctuation will not only make your email hard to read, but may
also change the meaning of your text too. Run a spell checker and re-
read your message before you send it.
5. Personalize it.
Personally address your email message, if possible, and customize the
contents to be as personable as you can make it. This puts the
customer at ease and you'll greatly increase the chance of having
your email read more thoroughly and landing the customer.
These 5 easy ways to clean up your email etiquette should help you to
put your best email salesperson on the job, equipped with all the
necessary tools to help you land that customer. Remember email
etiquette does make a difference!
