In internet sales, we are NEVER bullet-proof. If you are foolish
enough to think that you have it all figured out, you can be positive
that you're wrong. Slack down and you will NEVER sit on Easy Street!
There are people in e-town,
both friendly and sleazy, who are just waiting for you to get lazy.
Just How DO We Keep Moving Up?
Smart marketers ALWAYS keep advertising. They continue to post ads, as
hard as they did when they started in online sales! There is nothing
wrong or foolish with taking a break from Success Disciplines, but
being laid back is not
where it's at, when we are in sales. If you think differently, you'll
wait forever to climb the Success Ladder. Advertise like your future
depends on it because it
certainly does!
You Have Ventured Into a Rough Business!
Successful sales winners are NOT addicted to the internet, in most
cases. YES, they DO have a life in sales. What they don't have is a
truly constant "lifestyle" for the first few YEARS! They
understand the NEED for a solid, concrete foundation. LEARN this
upfront so you don't keep starting OVER and OVER, again and again! Pay
your dues in time and effort then REAP the rewards of accomplishment!
If you get weak and weary and want to quit....remember that our
comparison role model is always Susie and Bob "LunchBag".
They start early EVERY day. They DO eat on the run. They get VERY
tired working for the "man" or "woman". Overtime
hours wear them down for a flat salary paycheck. Their mental attitude
perhaps, needs counseling, therapy, a health club or Prozac. They work
like heck to make someone else wealthy. You are trying to escape this
situation, so don't expect a Free Lunch everyday!
Remember those DAYS?
We'll never figure out life. Try to enjoy it. Think about it, knowing
that none of us can beat it. You CAN win. The best and brightest
marketers always show up, Front and Center, each day. They show up
with a will to Win! They advertise FIRST, then go about their daily
business. How do they handle despair? They always adjust to what comes
their way. They develop a process to manage shocks because they are
ready for just about anything to happen, just in
case it does!. They never waste their time trying to actually engineer
success. FAIR PLAY is their mantra. Real winners just take it as it
comes. Real winners simply just get the job done.....and we ALL know
that getting the JOB done, IS Success!
NEED a Simple Formula for Real Success? Still trying to figure out
what success IS? Ask yourself ONE question.
Are YOU getting the JOB done?
If not then you really need to get busy! Keep advertising to fertilize
your business. Play fair in e-biz love and e-tug-a-war. Brown bag it,
as long as it is necessary. Rome wasn't built in a day and your
business will take a few years to become solid. Don't believe
everything you read. Why? Because more than fair percentage of what
you read, is NOT true. Get a Good MENTOR that you can trust. BE
teachable and cooperative. Then....work your plan without fail. STOP
trying to calculate every move you make. Not much is predictable in
e-sales. Don't get lost in the Copy-Me-+-Make-a-Zillion Bucks Arena.
Winners work for success. Work determines exactly who becomes a
"have" and a have-not! Which one do YOU want to be? Think
about it then get to work.

Schemes: How to Identify the Warning Signs

Home based
work scams prey on people's willingness to believe, a desperate hope
that an opportunity will help them to achieve their goal of working
from home. When the scammer runs off with their money, that's not all
they steal -- they also steal their dreams.
Although it's hard to tell with absolute certainty which opportunities
are scams and which are legitimate, there are several warning signs
that can indicate you should proceed with caution. These include:
* Claims that you can make absurd amounts of money in a very short
time or with very little work. Success isn't built overnight and it
never comes without hard work and even some sacrifices.
* Claims that you don't have to work at all; the "system" is
on "auto-pilot" -- "the only thing you have to do is
cash your cheques!" Again, ridiculous.
* You are "guaranteed" to make money. No one can guarantee
any such thing; first of all, they don't know anything about you, your
skills, your work ethic, and the many other things that can affect
success. Secondly, not every business opportunity is right for every
person, even for legitimate offers.
* You don't need any skills or experience. That's silly; although you
don't necessarily need extensive knowledge up-front to succeed --
after all, many things can be learned -- you have to have both the
ability and the willingness to learn. To illustrate the point,
consider that someone without technical aptitude is unlikely to become
a computer programmer.
* There's no contact information, or attempts at contact are ignored.
Why are they trying to hide? Legitimate businesses tend to welcome
inquiries and feedback.
* You have to pay a fee just to find out what the opportunity is
about. Information should be provided to you up-front so that you can
make an informed
decision about whether or not you want to pursue the opportunity.
* Lots of hype but very little detail about what you'll actually be
selling. People who are proud of the opportunity being offered should
be more than willing
to discuss it. Vague details could indicate that the opportunity has a
bad reputation.
* The opportunity places emphasis on recruiting others for a
commission, rather than emphasizing the sale of a product or service.
This may be what's known as a pyramid scheme. Read what the Federal

* You are told that it's a limited time offer - you MUST join today!
If it's a legitimate business, it will still be around tomorrow, next
week, next month, or next year. Don't feel pressured to join
immediately.
A word of warning: many people become so jaded after being scammed
that they assume *everything* is a scam. This is an equally
nonproductive stance as being too trusting! There are many legitimate
opportunities available... and keep in mind, too, that just because an
opportunity doesn't work for *you*, that does NOT necessarily make it
a scam. Each individual's skills, interests, and motivation will
determine how successful he or she is with any business.
Finally, there's no reason why you should feel you "have" to
join a prepackaged business opportunity. You can create your own
opportunity by producing and marketing a product or service of your
own.
Working from home is certainly an achievable goal. Research each
opportunity carefully, work consistently towards your goal, and you
could very well be able to join the ranks of home businesses in the
near future.
