Hi everyone and welcome to another edition of MIBW. What a week.
You know the old saying, you always need a vacation to get over a
vacation. Seems like I am still running on vacation mode :)
Welcome to all new subscribers since the last edition. I am
currently publishing a series on the real deal of working at home
called "Help, I'm Married to The Computer".
Today is Part Four of the series where we are talking about how
hard it can be some days just to take a break, not even a full
day off. There is always something to do. Once you finally finish
your work, there is no time to breath a sigh of relief, that is
when you start to think of all your future projects that always
seem so far off in the future.
Life huh.........
I also have a great article today from Dr. Jill Ammon-Wexler.
This is a great motivational article, and we all need as much
motivation as we can handle.
I still have a few of my famous gripes for you but I am taking my
time to write them up. Sometimes you can write in the heat of the
moment and live to regret it so I am using common sense with my
words so I can look back years later and say that I was satisfied.

Part Four......It's Not A Crime To Take A Day Off

Note:
This is a series designed to truly help the work at home
entrepreneur prosper. No matter whether you are making a
substantial income online or barely paying your hosting
fees, learning to balance the fine line between work and home is
essential to your business success. After all if your home life
is chaos because of your business then who can prosper
under those conditions. Hopefully this series can help business
owners deal with the outside world, their spouses and children
and can really grow the way they want to. This series is
geared mostly towards women since it is a women writing the
series but this also applies to both genders. You'll see...
Today in Part Four we are looking at the problems that happen
with working at home
Working at home can seem like a huge relief for you when you
originally worked outside of the home. You think of all the money
you will save on gas, lunch expenses, etc. You can't wait to work
in your pajamas.
But I realized one thing very early and also realized it again
last weekend.
No matter how organized you are, something always comes up.
It is almost impossible to actually say
"I Am Taking A Day Off"
Now of course for most people like my husband who works outside
of the home, as long as we carry our cell phone then he is always
in touch with work but for us, even though we speak with people
we meet online all the time,most of the tasks that we need to do
are done on the computer.
Now of course I can carry a laptop, but I don't have one and
remember the key word here
I am taking a day off, so that means leave the work at home
So how do you handle things like sales, orders, and customer
service problems when you want to take a break.
Digital Products....
If you sell any type of product that your client has to download
or grab from your site, then this is one of the easiest ways to
literally make money in your sleep.
After someone purchases, you can just set them up to receive an
autoresponder which can be a receipt for purchase thanking them
for their order. You can also include any details they need in
order to pick up their purchase.
Now if you are like me I still like to send out a personalized
email thanking them for their purchase. But knowing that they
receive that first autoreponse gives them a piece of mind that:
>> You are not a scammer and you will deliver what you advertise,
no strings attached.
>> At least they have had some form of contact from you instead
of sitting there watching the email to see when they are going to
send you that ebook or script, etc.
With all the talk of people stealing your digital products, this
is a safe and easy way to sell and not worry about people steal
your products.
Note: obviously this isn't foolproof, but in terms of less work so
you don't have to stick to the PC like glue, then this helps.
Now for those of you who don't know how to set that up. Here is a
form that will send out an autoresponder with personalization
tags added so everything they filled out in the form is added to

Murphy's Law??
No matter how many notices you put on your site about being away
from the PC, or even if you let your readers know you will be
away from the PC,someone will email you asking for help.
Well here is a simple way to combat that one.
Don't answer the email until you get back.
Wow that was simple.
You see some people will never read the writing on the wall. You
can spell it out to them fifty different ways about how you will
not be able to answer any emails and guess what, they still think
that you will answer their email.
Sorry it doesn't work like that. Unless its a dire emergency,
stick to your guns.
Or the next time you take some time off, no one will ever believe
you and will continue with the emails until you are forced to
actually check your email on vacation :)
Laziness or Intuition??
I won't lie to you. Some days I just don't even want to look at
the computer. So usually in the middle of the week I take
mornings off or afternoons off.
I know since it is a business, it takes a lot of hard work but we
all have those days when our health tells us another story and we
have to listen to our bodies before it's too late.
We al have different home situations so while some can easily work
for hours on end with no interruptions, some of us like myself,
it just doesn't work that way.
Sometimes I just plain and simple take a day off to avoid any
burn out.
You know like when your Web Host is having problems, or your ISP
or that script you have tried to install just isn't working, you
have to pace yourself.
If not then risk getting online with a chip on your shoulder and
an attitude in your words.
Since we spend so much time with email, if you are headed for
burnout and then try to do your work, someone is going to
drive you crazy.
Then after you take your frustrations out on them, you'll regret
it in the end, especially if that cost you a sale. So I know what
I can handle and what I can't. So I have no qualms about taking
that unannounced day off.
You can call it laziness, but I call it Woman's
Intuition..............
