Welcome From Your Publisher...
===============================================================
Hi and welcome to another edition of MIBW. Well the
summer is almost over. My daughters will be back in school next
week to start another school year.
I had an article today but it just didn't fit in so I decided
to just say what is on my mind to help everyone out there. With
these slow months, everyone gets so frustrated so please read
this special Voice Your Opinion. We can never have enough
motivation in our lives so take the time to read and enjoy.
=================Voice Your Opinion===============
Life Stinks, Get Over It
The fall season will soon start and that means that there are
only a few months left for the year to increase sales for your
business.
Don't fret in these slow months, stay smart and update your
site. There is always something to do with your site, you just
have to make notes so you are always on top of things.
I know it gets hard when you are trying to make a living, and
you have your family wondering why are you wasting your time.
They may say negative things to you, they may try to make it
harder to do any type of work online, but you have to stay strong.
People are always leery of things that are new to them. They
still think the money is just ready to fly out of the computer
and with some people no matter what you say, they will always
try to knock you down.
So beat them at their own game. Become the success you were
meant to be. Don't wait until you are too many years have
passed and you are sitting there telling your grandchildren
what you wished you did in your life.
Tell about all that you HAVE done and stay strong.
I am not saying to take food out of your children's mouths.
If there are bills to pay and your business isn't cutting it,
then use some common sense and get out there and find a job
until things look better.
And then when you come home from that job and you tuck the
children and your spouse in bed, get on that pc and do what you
have to do to become a success.
It really is plain and simple.
Don't let one little argument turn you off from your goals.
You think we are all swimming in cash? What makes you think we
all have it made. Just because the website looks good, doesn't
mean that life doesn't stink sometimes.
It sucks some days.
What makes you think my kids don't eat just as much as your's
does. What makes you think they don't grow out of their clothes
just as quick as your children?
What makes you think I don't have the same car note, house
note, that same creditor who just finished calling you asking
about the late payment probably just got through calling me as
well.
Who hasn't argued with their spouse about the time they spend
online. We all have.
Some days we don't even have the strength to look over emails
for fear of bad news or worse:
Looking for emails that aren't there.
Those emails that told us how many sales we made. How many
emails from Paypal and Clickbank and Storm Pay did you get
today?
Then you look in your mail and see the reality mail:
Electric, Water, Car Payment, Cable, Property Tax, etc etc
And then you look in your refrigerator and see those two
lemons, the can of tuna and some spoiled milk and wonder what
they heck you are going to eat tonight and your spouse just
really doesn't care to hear about how many bounces you got today
when you sent your newsletter out and they don't care what kind
of 5 x 10 matrix you just joined that is supposed to be the
next best thing.
That is where that common sense comes in.
Like I just said earlier:
"If there are bills to pay and your business isn't cutting it,
then use some common sense and get out there and find a job
until things look better."
Especially if you are the ONLY source of income in the house,
come on now.
Be smart but don't be a fool about it.
We have all been there, done that.
I am going to be honest here, it is very very hard to actually
balance a 50/50 deal between your business and your family.
Ask anyone who has a demanding job how they do it.
Ask any doctor, police officer, lawyer, social worker, anyone
who doesn't have the normal 9-5 hours, ask them how they do it.
Some can't do it. But what you have to have is an understanding
spouse who can help in those times when you need to make those
sacrifices.
So for those days when it is a 60/40 deal or a 70/30 deal, you
don't have to worry that someone is going to pack their bags.
Just remember that whatever you are doing, you do it to the
best of your ability and you can't go wrong.
Don't stop the things you do with family, just switch around
the time and juggle.
We have always juggled throughout your life, and this is no
different.
Try not to bring your home life into your business and your
business life into your home life.
Sounds weird when you have a home based business.
That is why it is so important to have space set aside just for
your business so it is mentally easier to keep your thoughts in
one spot.
Don't let anyone tell you it is a breeze. I know many people
online that deal with daily drama in their lives and still
function online.
Be smart and only take on what you KNOW you can handle.
Don't run around joining everything in site if you can't handle
the work.
If it is one thing I have learned in the past 4 years online is
to take on only what I know in my heart I can handle. When
problems come up, you get so overwhelmed, you think your brain
is going to explode, and then you still have to deal with your
other life, the one outside of the computer.
So if there are two things that you can grab from this issue is
to:
Life Is Short
We don't know how long we have so make the best
of it. Don't wait until a nurse is there to help you eat and
change your diaper to think, "shoot I sure wish I started that
business when I had the chance"
You Can't Be Perfect
It can't be 50/50 all the time. When it is you only starting a
business, you will have some arguments, you will get frustrated
sometimes, but you have to overcome it.
Dry those tears when they say something negative and keep on
stepping.
Listen to reason and common sense but know when someone's words
have jealousy and envy in them.
When it gets rough, remember
This too shall come to pass.......

Quality Customer Service
===============================================================
Copyright 2004 Dirk Wagner
What does customer service mean to you and your business on
the internet? How do you satisfy you customers? What can
you learn about customer service from the ‘big boys’?
Customer service is about satisfying your customers
expectations and providing your customers with low stress
options for doing business with you. Take this example; If
you walk into one of the ‘big box’ retailers that are
springing up all over North America and are greeted by
friendly, courteous and knowledgeable staff that are only
all to happy to lend a helping hand and make your shopping
experience as painless as possible are you more likely to
go back to that store for further purchases? Probably. The
other thing that this type of customer service does is
provide it’s customers with a reason to promote that
business via word of mouth. If you are happy with the
customer service you received you are more than likely to
let others know how much you enjoyed shopping at this
particular retailer.
The flip side of the above example; If you walked into a
competitors place of business and there was no one to greet
you or no assistance was offered, would you still shop
there? You may if the price is right. These types of
retailers use sales and other promotional ideas as a way of
providing customer service.
The similarity of the two retailers noted above is that
they are both satisfying customers expectations. The
difference is in the eye of the consumer. Some consumers
are looking to buy products at the best possible price and
do not need to be ’wooed’ by staff, while others need to be
shown that they are valued as a customer by the retailer.
IF you substituted the consumers in the above two examples
you may find that neither consumer would enjoy there
shopping experience. The fact of the matter is that
consumers operate under different motivations.
So how does this relate to your online business? You need
to understand your customer base. The odds are you will be
servicing both types of consumers. One of the best ways to
find out who your customers are and what there particular
needs are is providing them with a survey to fill out. This
is a great way to get valuable feedback to help you improve
both your customer service and product. You must constantly
evaluate how you deal with customer service issues.
One other thing regarding customer service is the trust
factor. Your customers must be made to feel they can trust
you. After all, you are asking them to give up their hard
earned money in exchange for a product or service that you
have convinced them they need. A constant dialogue with
your customers is a must to develop trust. You need to be
there to answer your customers questions and concerns and
provide assistance when needed.
You must also satisfy those customers that may have changed
there mind about your product/service and want a refund.
This happens in every type of business and you should not
feel badly about it. Provide the refund and be courteous.
You may just see this person as a customer sometime down
the road. If you do not honor such requests, you are
setting your self up to be bad mouthed and you certainly do
not want that. One thing to remember is the old saying 'the
customer is always right'. Good luck!
