Dear Friend,
All the "internet gurus" keep telling you that you
MUST have your own website, product and complete automated
follow up system to start making money on the net.
They are absolutely right! But I know what it takes to follow
their advice - you must be a "guru" just like them to setup
everything. Or you may pay someone up to $1500 to have it done
for you...
What do you prefer?
I personally prefer to do it myself.
Finally it IS possible to actually SEE, Listen and LEARN it
all yourself. YOU will be the THE EXPERT.

Welcome From Your Publisher...
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Hi and welcome to another edition of MIBW.
I wanted to thank everyone for the great feedback on the tax
resources. I hope the links were helpful to everyone.
Don't forget to keep track of any affiliate programs that you
made $600 or above. They should be sending you a 1099
miscellaneous form so look out for those in your mailbox.
For those of you who are looking for a great site and a great
ezine that I do miss an issue, it's Tax Mama
http://taxmama.com . Carmella Leo from the Mini Marketer
http://mini-marketer.com reminded me that I didn't add this
resource in the last issue so thank you Carmella. Eva
Rosenberg ( Tax Mama) knows her stuff, this is one of those
must read ezines. Subscribe today http://taxmama.com
Now for those of you who are getting your tax information
together, did you take a good look at your income last year?
Were you satisfied or were you fed up due to a low income.
This year in MIBW is all about making money on a level that is
comfortable with you.
Not all of us have the time to devote those long hours that
others have done online, you have to look at your life factors
Outside Employment
Children
Spouses
Health
Before you start whining about why you are not making money,
look at your limits first then go from that point.
But remember that none of the factors above means that you
CAN'T grab a good income, it just means that it may take a bit
longer so don't feel bad when you get those emails about how
this marketer made $5,000 a week. Remember it's usually an ad
to get you to buy something so be aware of the hyped up
messages instead of someone just being honest.
I have two good articles for you to read this week. This
should help you get started on focusing on your goals and
priorities and to organize yourself better. I am also
bringing back the Classified Issues on Fridays so the weekend
issues are not cluttered.
See you on Friday for the Classified Edition and I hope
everyone has a great week,
Your Publisher,
Donesia

"Donesia.
The most important thing to remember is that *everything* is
a potential deduction. If you have a cat or dog, all those
expenses related to "security."
Above all, save your receipts and write on the receipt
exactly what the charge was for. Remember, if you entertain
potential customers at a "home dinner party," that is also
an expense.
Still, the best way to get more profit is to form a corporation
(a "C" corp if in the US), and get hired to run it! "

The How and Why of Goal Setting
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
By Christian Csatari © 2004
Athlete’s learn early on in their development that Goal
Setting is an important part of their overall training
regimen.
Successful Business men and women you Know or have
read about have always maintained that setting goals
was a major step in their success, and continue to be
as they seek out new ways to challenge themselves.
But what about the home business owner? Shouldn’t they set
goals in order to achieve success? I have read on
discussion forums all to many times people want a quick fix,
they ask how can I make x amount of dollars, or I want to
do this or that what do you suggest? It is obvious by reading
these posts, that These home business owners do not either
know how to set goals, or are looking past The process of goal
setting.
Every organization, small business or large corporation should
manage by objectives, systematic performance improvement
and target setting.
A home business owner should be no different. Let’s look at
some of the reasons for not setting goals.
- To much pressure to accomplish their goals;
- Fear of failure;
- They don’t have confidence;
- They are not sure of what they want to accomplish;
- They don’t know how to set goals.
None of the above reasons are valid for not setting goals for
your home business. Only unrealistic goals apply pressure on
an individual. Fear of failure usually arise from a feeling
that we lack control over our future. However, setting long
and short term goals real allow us to control our own futures.
Goals raise confidence levels in that they show you in a
concrete way that success is possible. Achievement of short
term goals makes confidence grow and give momentum for greater
achievement. The goal setting process allows people to work
out exactly what they want and what is important to them.
Setting goals is not complicated. It can be challenging, but
the process of goal setting can be of value to you in building
excitement and commitment, which are important factors in
achieving success.
General Guidelines For Goal Setting
1.) Goals should be challenging, yet realistic and attainable.
Hard but realistic goals produce better results.
2) Write Goals down and post them where you can see them on a
daily basis. Stick them on your computer using post-it’s, or
on the bathroom mirror, somewhere you spend a lot of time.
3) Write your goals as positive statements that focus on
success.
4) Write out an action plan for accomplishing your goals. This
is where short term goals come in, each short term goal
achieved, keeps you motivated and confident.
5) Set a time frame. Be specific but reasonable.
6) Celebrate! Once you have reached a short term goal
celebrate it, give yourself a reward.
7) Revise goals when necessary. Sometimes things happen that
you can not control, you must not let that deter you from
accomplishing your goals, revise and rewrite.
8) Prioritize you goals. List your goals in order of
importance to you.

How To Beat Marketing Burn Out And Disillusionment, An Online
Marketer's Occupational Hazard
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
(c) 2004 Charles Kangethe
* Once Upon A Time
--------------------
Many people set out on their Internet Marketing careers
full of hope and enthusiasm.
However, within a year or two reality sets in and hope turns
to disappointment and the enthusiasm wears off.
What goes wrong and how can you get back on track ?
* The Wheels Start To Come Off
-------------------------------
Ironically, trouble starts with one of the Internet's
greatest strengths.
Information.
Or more precisely information overload.
As you research opportunities, so called "experts" tell
you "how to do it", "when to do it", "where to do it" and
offer you expensive tools and resources to help you
do it.
You get confused from the widely available advice and
your progress suffers from lack of a consistent easy to
follow plan.
Then just as you're getting your head around the
information, your family jump in telling you how you are
no longer any fun.
They tell you that you spend far too much time at the
computer, and they want to know why you aren't earning
any money.
Feeling their doubts, you start to doubt yourself.
But you struggle on, produce your first web site and
ask a favorite forum to review it. Back come the opinions
and advice on hundreds of things you must do to improve it.
You write your first e-zine, but being your own harshest
critic you know it stands improvement so you delay
publicizing it and getting subscribers until it is just
right.
It has now been a year or more since you started and you
still haven't made any "real" money.
Your early hopes and enthusiasm are being seriously tested.
You are losing focus and your desire to carry on, to take
action seems low.
If you recognize this person, start with the basics, and
use the following four steps to get back on track.
* Go Back To Basics And Answer The Fundamental Question
---------------------------------------------------------
Success as an online marketer starts with a simple belief.
You must believe in yourself, your talents and know your
destiny.
It is this belief that will sustain you when the wheels
seem to be falling off.
From the very beginning you must have goals that drive
you onwards. Your goals are derived from the answer to
this fundamental question.
"What do you want to achieve as an Online Marketer ?"
You must find the one answer to this question, that is :
* Simple - Can be explained in three or less short
sentences.
* Clear - Well defined, and unambiguous
* Personal - It must satisfy a deep personal desire
and you must strongly believe that you will achieve it.
* Set SMART Goals and Plans
----------------------------
Once you have the answer, you must set long, medium
and short-term goals.
Your short term goals must be detailed and explicit, your
longer term goals can be less detailed , but they must all
be SMART.
* Specific - Each goal addresses a single, clear issue.
* Measurable - How will achieving the goal change anything.
* Achievable - Each goal must stretch your abilities, as
you reach for it
* Realistic - Each goal must be rooted in real life which
is why the starting point is to find the answer above
* Timing - Give yourself deadlines to achieve the goals
Once your goals are defined you must design a plan to
achieve them.
Plans are the vehicle by which you achieve your goals.
Refer to your goals and plans frequently in order to :
* Ensure you are on track
* Ensure they are still valid
* Give your motivation a boost
* Schedule It And Do It Right
----------------------------
Next, create a schedule of activities, that you must achieve
each day of each week.
My weekly schedule requires me to write an article each
week, update site content, and do more work on creating
my own products.
My daily schedule involves posting messages on public
forums, responding to my e-mail in a structured manner,
addressing any customer issues, building my Opt-In list and
making time for my family.
I use Timesheets lite available from
http://www.timesheetsmts.com/ to schedule my daily activity.
These daily and weekly tasks are all aligned and geared to
helping me achieve my short-term goals. In turn my short
term goals are geared to helping me achieve my medium
term goals and so on.
By setting your schedules in a similar way, you develop
discipline, you learn how to pace yourself and you allocate
time to all the activities that demand your attention,
including most importantly your family.
Remember despite your improving self belief you must ask
questions when you come up against obstacles. Asking for
help early on avoids many lost hours in trial and error,
resulting in less frustration.
* Support Networks
-------------------
Working alone is lonely, and we all need support from people
doing the same things, people who understand the issues
and problems we are going through.
Public forums are a good source of information and answers
to questions, but they offer little by way of personal, and
immediate support.
Support in this context is better if it comes from a small
private support group.
You can build your own support group either on or
offline if you live in a place where there are many other
netpreneurs. However for most of us this offline support
route is difficult and unrealistic.
Hence at Simply easier we will soon be implementing a
number of support cells where people will be able to use web
cams, and msn to chat and form remote, but practical
support networks.
For more details check into http://www.simplyeasier.com
and look out for the support program announcement.
------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion
Burn out and disillusionment with online marketing, are an
"occupational hazard" for many marketers. Getting back on
the right track requires that you :
* Go back to basics and answer the Fundamental question
* Set detailed SMART short, medium long-term goals and plans
* Schedule your daily and weekly activities and align them
to your goals
* Find and join, or create small support networks
Use these four steps and get back on the right track today.
